The Business Empire project, which was preparing for the online competition at Innovation Days at Ukrainian Future, a business incubator of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, won 1st place in the “Quality Education” nomination and will receive a financial reward of $1,500!
The team is working on a financial game that will teach young people how to manage their budget, save, and invest. During Innovation Days, a series of trainings and meetings organized by Ukrainian Future, with the help of the incubator’s specialists, the participants were able to effectively refine their project and prepare a high-quality application for WSI, which helped them achieve high results and stand out among thousands of projects from around the world!
This year, 2,839 participants from over 50 countries took part in the global online competition of WSI business ideas from the international non-profit organization for the development of entrepreneurship NFTE, who presented innovative solutions to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Three projects participating in the preparatory stage of the competition from Ukrainian Future were among the ten finalists. The teams developed innovative solutions in three key categories of the competition aimed at achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals: Quality Education”, “Decent Work and Economic Growth” and “Fighting Climate Change”. One of the Ukrainian teams won the competition, another received a special distinction.
- Business Empire – winner in the “Quality Education” category (Intuit for Education Game Based Financial Learning Challenge).
- WITERoK – holder of a special distinction of the “Finalist - Impact League” competition, finalist in the “Fighting Climate Change” category (Zuora Climate Action Challenge), . Their solution is an innovative bladeless wind generator, which allows, in particular, to reduce the carbon footprint of communities.
- ScillFusion – finalist in the “Decent Work and Economic Growth” category (Citi Foundation Youth Economic Advancement Challenge). Their idea uses artificial intelligence to help young people in employment, education and development.
We look forward to the next challenges WSI this fall to prepare new high-quality projects for the global innovation series at Innovation Days! Ukrainian Future business incubator is already working on the program for next season so that even more young innovators can make their mark on the global stage.
