€7000 to start or restore a business: the 4th cohort of the REDpreneurUA grant programme in partnership with Ukrainian Future has started

REDpreneurUA is a programme that provides knowledge, practical skills, mentoring and grant support for the implementation of social, environmental and innovative business ideas aimed at restoring Ukraine. The initiative is being implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross in partnership with the Austrian Red Cross and with the support of the Neighbour in Need Foundation (Austria). Cohort 4 will be trained in partnership with Ukrainian Future, a business incubator of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Over the course of three months, 25 selected participants will complete an intensive online training programme at the business incubator. Classes will be held twice a week and will include, among other things, work on a business plan, financial model, and project presentations. Based on the results of the online training and the final offline defence of the business plan, 10 participants will receive a €7000 grant and further post-training support to implement their business ideas.

The programme is open to Ukrainian citizens aged 18 to 59 who live in government-controlled territory and fall into one of two main categories:

  • Initiators of business ideas in the sustainable sector of the economy with a social, innovative, or environmental focus who do not have an existing business or who have ceased operations due to the war and are seeking to resume them.
  • Start-ups and technology businesses with a strong social and environmental component.

The presence of a vulnerability category (e.g., status of an internally displaced person, combatant, person with a disability, etc.) may be an additional advantage in the selection of participants, provided that other criteria are met.
