Winners of the UF Spring Pitch Competition 2025 announced

Based on the results of the pitch, vouchers for one of the international startup events were received by three resident teams of Ukrainian Future, a business incubator of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, ConnectAbility, EcoMind, and OUTEX.

On April 4, the annual UF Spring Pitch Competition 2025 startup pitch took place, which is part of the annual program for managing innovative projects “UF Incubation”. This is an important stage in the preparation of youth startup projects, which allows teams to practice pitching skills to potential investors, test their idea, and receive feedback from industry experts who are part of the jury.

The competitive selection of participants of the innovative project management program “UF Incubation” for participation in the international startup competition-conference “Viva Technology 2025” "UF Spring Pitch Competition 2025" was held in a mixed format. An exciting moment was the announcement of the three winning teams of the UF Spring Pitch Competition 2025, which included:

1. ConnectAbility. An AI-based application that teaches sign language to children with hearing impairments and can act as a "voice translator" thanks to the ability to recognize and voice gestures.

3. OUTEX. An application for sports and rehabilitation in which AI corrects the performance of exercises.

“I’m not saying that these are the winners, these are the teams that presented a little better than the others today. All your ideas are cool, but the idea is 5% of success, they need to be presented and implemented qualitatively. This pitch is your preparation for speeches in front of a different audience. You need to understand those you are talking to. When preparing presentations, you are talking to people who think in terms of money. Your idea may be great, but if you don’t turn it into numbers, they won’t give you money,” said the head of the jury, CEO of a cybersecurity consulting company Vitaliy Yakushev, when awarding the winners.

All three teams received vouchers for European startup events, where they will have the opportunity to declare themselves in the global startup community and take an important step towards forming their own brand as an innovative entrepreneur and their startup.

"Ukrainian Future creates for young entrepreneurs the conditions necessary for the launch and further growth of the project. And the pitching format provides an opportunity to receive not only an expert assessment, professional recommendations, but also forms the experience of communicating with the audience to achieve the set goals," said Iryna Bystrova, head of the Ukrainian Future business incubator.

* In the event that one of the winning teams is unable to participate in the Viva Technology 2025 startup technology conference for objective reasons, its place will be offered to the next project in the rating according to the general final table.
