The largest UF Materials Library in Eastern Europe to open in Kyiv.

On December 20, the largest UF Materials Library in Eastern Europe will officially open at Ukrainian Future, the business incubator of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The event will bring together innovators, experts, scientists, and entrepreneurs to present the opportunities of this innovative space, highlight its significance in creating sustainable solutions, and promote the development of the circular economy.

A collection that impresses with its scale and diversity

The UF Materials Library is a space for exploring the diversity of modern materials, offering categorized material samples with detailed information about their manufacturers, composition, properties, and potential applications. The library houses 300 physical material samples, grouped into 8 categories, including glass, ceramics, polymers, metals, cementitious, natural, carbon-based, and recycled materials. In addition, users can access an online database featuring over 10,000 material samples from the partner network of the business incubator — the consulting company Material ConneXion.

A place for experimentation and collaboration

The UF Materials Library will not only serve as a resource center for the professional community but also become a vital element of the infrastructure at the Ukrainian Future business incubator. Here, users can receive consultations on material selection, request specific samples directly from manufacturers, and create working models or prototypes in the incubator's prototyping lab — UF Fablab. This integration will accelerate the development of innovative products and promote the adoption of eco-friendly and sustainable solutions.

Target audience of the UF Materials Library

  • Designers, architects, and engineers: Gain access to contemporary, sustainable materials for inspiration and the selection of optimal solutions in design, construction, and interior creation.
  • Startups and established businesses: Discover materials that enhance the competitiveness of innovative solutions and facilitate the transition to circularity.
  • Students, scientists, and researchers: Use the library as a resource for studying and comparing materials, whether for scientific research or the development of innovative projects in sustainable development.

When to visit?

The panel discussion and press conference marking the official opening of the Materials Library will begin at 11:00 AM on December 20, 2024, at the Ukrainian Future Business Incubator.
