REDpreneur.UA is an initiative focused on supporting the launch and recovery of businesses by Ukraine’s most vulnerable groups. The program is initiated by the Ukrainian Red Cross in partnership with the Austrian Red Cross, with funding from the “Neighbour in Need” foundation (Austria). Ukrainian Future, a business incubator of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, is the program’s partner and provider.
The program selects 25 beneficiaries for incubation and offers free, comprehensive 14-week online training in entrepreneurship, including the following four components:
- Online Academy for acceleration and mentorship.
- Inspirational sessions to motivate participants for new achievements.
- Personalized consulting for tailored business recommendations.
- Networking to establish useful connections and find partners.
As a result of the final REDpreneur.UA pitch, 17 beneficiaries will receive grants to develop their businesses, ranging from €5,000 to €15,000.
The program targets two main categories of participants:
- Vulnerable Groups:
Categories of vulnerability include:
- Internally displaced persons (registered after February 24, 2022).
- People with disabilities.
- Large families raising three or more children under 18.
- Single parents (as defined in Article 135 of the Family Code of Ukraine).
- Guardians of incapacitated persons.
- Veterans/ATO participants.
- Long-term socially vulnerable unemployed individuals (both registered and unregistered at employment centers).
- Startups and Businesses for Ukraine’s Recovery:
- Founders of new businesses.
- Startups and businesses aimed at Ukraine's recovery.
- Businesses affected by the war that ceased operations and want to resume them.
