The BizCamp entrepreneurship summer camp program will last for three weeks and will conclude with the Ukrainian regional selection for the World Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge (USA). Participants will present their innovative ideas in the form of startup projects and compete for seed capital to launch their business in the amount of $5,000.
Ukrainian youth have gained access to educational programs and competitions from the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) thanks to Ukrainian Future, the business incubator of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, which will be the organizer of BizCamp and the National Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge. Registration and information about the program and competition will be available through the official website of the business incubator.
About BizCamp and the National Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge
BizCamp is an educational program aimed at developing entrepreneurial skills in young people. It includes, among other things, training in the basics of entrepreneurship, marketing, and financial management; it promotes the development of creative thinking, leadership qualities, and problem-solving skills. Through BizCamp, young people gain valuable knowledge and experience necessary for a successful business launch.
The National Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge is a national pitch competition for business ideas, in which the best graduates of BizCamp can participate. They will demonstrate the knowledge and skills acquired during the educational program by presenting their innovative ideas in the form of startup projects to a jury. The three winning teams of the national competition will win a trip to the World Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge in the USA.
How will it work?
BizCamp starts online on July 9, lasts for three weeks, and concludes on July 30 with an interim pitching session — Demo Day, where participants of the educational program will present the projects prepared during their training. The jury will select the best projects to be presented at the National Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge, which will take place in a mixed format (offline and online) in Kyiv on September 13. The three winning teams of this competition will be able to travel to the finals in New York (USA) from November 10-12.
The World Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge (New York, USA) is three days of workshops, meetings with young innovators from around the world and successful global businesses, full immersion in the startup environment with a final competition for $5,000 to implement their business idea.
Who can participate and where to register?
Youth aged 15 to 18 can join the BizCamp summer camp. We also ask participants to consider the possibility of traveling abroad (in case of winning the regional selection) and the ability to present their project in English (this can be any team member) at the National Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge (Kyiv) and the World Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge (New York). The trip to the USA is funded for 1-2 team members.
You can register until July 3 here.
