The annual Meet-Up, held within the framework of the year-long innovation project management program “UF Incubation,” is a unique opportunity for residents and participants of Ukrainian Future programs, the business incubator of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, to come together at the UF coworking space in Kyiv. It provides a platform to exchange experiences, discover new growth opportunities, and benefit from meaningful networking.
This year’s Meet-Up is more than just a gathering of the UF community — it is a unique experience typically accessible only to management teams of international corporations. The central highlight of the event is the legendary business simulation “Everest Challenge” by Ascendis, the largest Learning & Development company in Eastern Europe with 28 years of experience.
Why Everest? Because the challenges within the startup ecosystem mirror those of climbing the world’s highest peak:
- Resources are always limited (time, funding, energy)
- Conditions change faster than plans (a dynamic market and emerging challenges)
- Decisions impact the entire team (shared responsibility for outcomes)
During the simulation, participants take on the roles of members of a high-altitude expedition, where every step is a choice between speed, risk, and responsibility for the team. Over the course of a 5-hour business simulation, we will collectively “experience”:
- Managing under uncertainty and pressure
- Allocating limited resources
- Making complex team decisions
- Balancing ambition with safety
- The real dynamics of management team interaction
This is not a training session or a team-building activity. It is a fully immersive experience — an opportunity to see, feel, and test how teams make decisions, collaborate, and move toward a shared goal when the stakes are truly high.
What else to expect at the Meet-Up:
- A dynamic networking environment
- A technology backstage experience
Registration begins: March 27, 10:00 AM.
Please note: as the simulation requires precise role distribution within teams, the number of spots is limited. Fill out the application form to receive an invitation.
