The Ukrainian team—winners of the National Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge (NYEC) organized by Ukrainian Future, the business incubator of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine—participated in the Gala Final of the global World Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge (WYEC) 2025 by NFTE in New York.
Team Demetra, the developers of a "smart" soil monitoring system and a personalized AI assistant for precision farming, successfully presented their project to industry experts at a central office of the UBS financial corporation during the semi-finals. Additionally, alongside 13 finalists from other countries, they showcased their idea in a Fast Pitch format at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
The Ukrainian team received high scores and favorable reviews from both the jury and mentor-consultants during workshops and discussions regarding the project's development potential with representatives of leading global corporations. Participation in the World Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge proved to be a valuable experience for the participants, offering an opportunity to view their product through the lens of the global startup community and receive honest, professional feedback to accelerate their startup’s growth.
Notably, the Ukrainian Future team also joined a strategic session for NFTE global partners to collaborate on the 2026 Educational Development action plan. Participation in this session provided a platform to present the Ukrainian experience and strengthen the role of our innovation ecosystem within the international NFTE network.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the NFTE team for the impeccable organization of WYEC, the creation of a powerful platform for supporting youth startups, and the opportunity for a comprehensive exchange of ideas and experience!
