Ukrainian Future, a business incubator of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, will hold a one-day online intensive that will help participants systematically understand the financial aspects of a startup project: master key financial tools and skills for effective budget management, cost planning, and attracting investments.

The workshop program combines methodological and applied approaches: from the basics of financial management to finding sources of financing for youth projects. And it will be useful for both mentor teachers working with youth startups and novice entrepreneurs. The online intensive will consist of 4 main blocks:

• Module 1. Financial literacy as a competence of a modern innovator. Tools for forming an understanding of finance as part of entrepreneurial thinking in young people. Basic principles of financial culture in a startup environment.
• Module 2. Startup project budget architecture The structure of a startup financial plan: income, expenses, margin, cash flow forecasting. How to teach a team to create a realistic budget and work with financial instruments.
• Module 3. Financial risks and typical mistakes of youth startups. Practical examples, analysis of real cases and recommendations for managing financial risks. How to help a team make financially sound decisions.
• Module 4. Financing opportunities for youth startups. Grant programs, competitions and state support instruments. How to find, evaluate and effectively apply for startup financing.

Upon completion of the financial literacy workshop, its participants will receive a certificate and will be able to join the advanced training program “Project Management as a Tool for Supporting Youth Startups” (30 hours/1 ECTS), which is planned at Ukrainian Future in the spring of next year.
